The company originated with a brick-and-mortar store in Honolulu near the University of Hawaii Manoa, and soon expanded into other grocery retailers. Of course, I would highly suggest asking an employee for help much sooner than I did. I picked out six more flavors to try and every single one of them was amazing. Getting the other flavors may have been an unnecessary adventure, but it was completely worth it. It only took me a second to realize that case had been there the whole time and I could have easily made my purchase the night before. In a serve yourself case, not to far from the registers and freezer section was the perfect display of Bubbies Mochi Ice Cream. Confused and again frustrated I started walking the whole store determined to find my ice cream.Īnd then I saw it. When I got to the store, I immediately walked over to the cafe area. The person confirmed they had a case of Bubbies Mochi Ice Cream. Again, feeling disappointed I drove home and decided I would just have to come back the next day to get my fix.įeeling a little smarter, I called the closer Whole Foods before heading out.
But here’s the catch, the case is part of the cafe and the cafe closes at 8pm. They have a whole case where you can purchase the mochi ice cream individually in a variety of flavors. Turns out the store already carries more flavors. I decided to go chat with customer service and see how I could get more flavors. At this point, I was feeling a little frustrated. Again, I made my way to the freezer section to search for the flavors I was dying to try. After another 15 minute drive, I arrived at the bigger and had-to-have-more-selection store. Still determined to find more flavors of my newest obsession, I chose to drive to the next nearest Whole Foods. I walked over to the cafe area to see if they had a case of them there, and had no such luck.
However, disappointment soon comes when I see they only have vanilla in the freezer section. When I get to the location, I go straight to the freezer section in search for the wide variety of flavors they show on their website. I’ll just hop in my car and drive to the nearest Whole Foods, which is about 15 minutes away.

So when I heard about Bubbies Mochi Ice Cream, I was a little hesitant.
